How to add a Device Command

First you have to navigate to Settings, then Device Types. Select the Device Type to which you would like to add a Device Command. Click on the icon and then select Edit Device Type.

Now you can scroll down, the last section on the edit page is for the Device Command. Click on Add.

In the following screen you are able to configure the name, if required a folder or a group name to group some commands together. The command is executed on the server or client as chosen with the context property. All commands are carried out on the fire and forget principle. You can use the following variables. To run client-side actions you need to install the ClientActionLauncher.
